TRIS recently hosted an exhibition titled "The World's Greatest Mela – Respecting India’s Cinematic Heritage" at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. Curated by Neville Tuli, the exhibition featured a curated selection from a vast collection of over 400,000 items related to Indian cinema. This included rare film posters, vintage booklets, original publicity materials, and memorabilia from iconic films associated with TRIS. The showcase also included hand-painted posters, vintage booklets, and promotional materials from classic Indian movies like "Mughal-E-Azam," "Pakeezah," and "Sholay," along with highlighting notable collaborations in Indian cinema such as Raj Kapoor and Nargis, and Amitabh Bachchan and Manmohan Desai. Additionally, the exhibition delved into the role of dance in Indian cinema as a storytelling tool. The event attracted numerous student groups from various educational institutions keen on exploring Indian cinematic history and its cultural significance.
